20/08/2018We enjoyed a delicious day at Clitheroe Food Festival
20/08/2018From sizzling Spanish delicacies to Asian treats and traditional Lancashire pies, there was something to tickle everybody’s taste buds at this year’s Clitheroe Food Festival sponsored by Lloyd Colne BMW &MINI.
Food vendors, musicians and entertainers from all over the world turned out in their hundreds to put on a mouth-watering display over the weekend, as thousands of people descended upon Clitheroe’s historic cobbled streets.
There were sweet stands and farm shops, ice-cream trucks and beer bars as well as chocolate masterclasses and wine and gin tasting events.
Up at the Castle, there was a fun-fair for the festival’s younger attendees and music was played late into the night at Holmes Mill, who joined in with the festivities by offering a space for the party to continue after the street-vendors packed up their wares for the day.
Alan Clifford, past-present Vice President, said: “It has been a fabulous day which looks to be our most successful yet.”
Lloyd Colne BMW & MINI once again got their teeth into the festival and had the pleasure of being one of the main sponsors of the day.
With a delicious display of cars including the glorious BMWi8 supercar, the Lloyd Colne BMW & MINI stand was a real feast for the eyes.
Stephanie de Looze, Lloyd BMW Marketing Manager commented:“This is our fourth year now as one of the main sponsors for Clitheroe FoodFestival and it is always an event we truly look forward to as it always promises a superb atmosphere.”
“This year was no exception; the streets were packed full of visitors and everyone was very friendly. It is always really interesting tospeak to the other stall holders and local business’ as well as a wonderful excuse to stuff your face!”
